My photography journey began when I picked up my first camera at 14. My love for photography started with photographing nature, precisely the tiny things in nature most people wouldn't usually notice. While I still love photographing nature, my focus has switched to capturing my amazing clients and their special memories!
I was born and raised in a small town 30-minutes south of the Twin Cities. I met the man of my dreams while studying (let's be honest, I was talking to my friends) in our college library. After a few short months of dating, we knew we were meant for each other! Three years later, we tied the knot! Well before Alex got down on one knee, we put a down payment on our adorable Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Kipper. We can't imagine our life without him! He’s a total spaz, but super sweet! Ask me about him at your photo shoot, and I'll probably show you a few hundred pictures of him!
Growing up, my mom always took photos of our family on vacations, spending time with our family and friends, and other special occasions. As I’ve gotten older, I love looking back on those memories, but I wish my mom was in the photos with us. That’s why I became a photographer! I want you to be in the photos with your family, soaking in every minute.
Fast forward to when your children are adults looking back on your family photos, they’ll remember all the great memories and be so happy to see you in the photos with them! Trust me, they'll thank you for documenting their childhood and capturing the love you've had for them all these years.
As a small business owner, no day is ever the same for me, which I love. Some days I wake up and get right to work, and other days I take my time and enjoy the morning. Weekends are usually packed with sessions, but if I have a weekend off, Alex and I like exploring new coffee shops, book stores, and plant stores (because I always need more plants), or we like to spend the weekend outside or with our family and friends.
Savoring life’s special and mundane moments is so important! From a family celebrating the birth of their newborn, to a regular Wednesday afternoon playing games in the backyard with your kids; I want to capture it all for you!
So what do ya say? Let's make your memories last a lifetime!
