I will capture everything from their little nose to their little toes!
As your newborn photographer, my goal is to capture the love of your new, little family member in a natural and authentic way. I want you to remember their tiny fingers and toes, and their baby soft skin. These are the little details that change SO fast. I offer in-home and in studio sessions.
During newborn photos all you'll need to do is enjoy your sweet baby. The first few weeks of parenthood are trying; the first photos shouldn’t be. Take a tiny break with me; I promise you won’t regret it. As always, I guarantee you’ll love your photos.

Newborn photography shows the beginning of your growing family’s story. Capturing these special moments from as early as the first few weeks of life is SO important! Babies change so much in the first 6 weeks. Many of the families I’ve worked with say they loved having a record of their first few weeks together as a new family.
When you make photographing your family a priority from the very beginning, you’ll find it easier to cherish those first days of life with your newborn. As your children get older, they love to see pictures of themselves when they were little and cute.
The best time to take newborn photos is two to four weeks after your little one's birth. If you want your baby's sleepy demeanor to be photographed, try not to wait any longer than four weeks for newborn photos.
If you’re more comfortable waiting a few weeks, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having newborn photos taken four weeks after your little one has arrived.
I suggest booking your newborn photos a few months in advance. I’ll always try my best to squeeze a few newborns in if you’re a little late to the game and need to book a photos last minute!
Newborns can be photographed in your home or at one of the many studios that are available in Minneapolis. I’m laid back and so are my newborn sessions. During the session, I encourage you to relax while I capture your precious little one. So, if you’re ready to get out of the house and want to venture out into the world for a newborn session, we can meet at a studio.
If you don’t feel comfortable leaving your house quite yet, no problem! Let me come to you! I've had several clients tell me how convenient it was to have me come to their house, rather than them packing up everything they own and driving to a studio. In-home photo shoots are especially nice if you have other small children. Your family will feel more comfortable and relaxed since it's in the comfort of your own home! If your home doesn't have great light, don't worry! I bring along my lighting equipment for all in-home photo shoots.
Newborn photography doesn’t have to be stressful. I wholeheartedly believe in having newborn photos taken in your home. It’s where your family is the most relaxed and it’s a much more enjoyable experience. Start thinking about your newborn photo shoot as a memorable experience, rather than another item on your ever growing “to-do” list.
