Senior photographers can book up quickly! The spring of your junior year is a great time to start searching for a senior photographer who fits your style. This will help you get the photographer and the date you want!
Scheduling for senior photos opens on March 1st. Be sure to join the waitlist to be among the first to receive information about packages, prices, and available dates. Again, my calendar fills up quickly for senior photos, so if there's a date you want, DO NOT procrastinate! Typically, senior photos are due for the yearbook in early to mid-November, so don't wait last minute to book!
After booking with me, I'll send you a comprehensive outfit guide. It will walk you step-by-step through deciding what outfits work best, what colors will look great, and where to shop.
One quick tip I have is that you should wear something that you feel confident and comfortable in. I always like to start with a dressier outfit, and then after a while you can change into something more casual.
Absolutely! I strongly advise all the seniors I work with to send me photos of their outfits. It helps to take these photos in a room with natural light.
If you need ideas on what to wear, Pinterest and Google are great to help you come up with some creative ideas. Visualize what you want your senior pictures to look like and what outfits you'd like to wear. Also, think of locations where you want your senior photos taken. An open field? An urban setting? In a studio? At your high school? Your outfits should coordinate with the locations you choose. Remember, these are YOUR photos, so it’s important you choose outfits you’ll love and feel comfortable in.
Don't worry about where you're going to change your outfits. I have a hand-dandy portable changing room that I bring to all locations!
There are a ton of great places in and around Minneapolis to take your senior pictures. For outdoor locations there's Minnehaha Falls, The Stone Arch Bridge, St. Anthony Main, Mill City Ruins, The Lyndale Rose Garden, Arneson Acres Park, and much more.
I send my seniors a list of outdoor locations based on what style they're looking for (nature, urban, industrial, etc.). Same goes for indoor locations. If you want your session done in a studio, I can send you a list of studios or indoor venues you can review and decide which ones best fit your style.
If you want your senior photos taken at your high school or in your back yard, we can certainly do that too!
The number of photos you'll receive depends on your chosen package. For example, the Basic Senior Package comes with 30 hand-edited images, which will the amount of images you'll receive if you choose that package. All the photos in the gallery will be hand-edited by me!
