Choosing a location or two for your senior pictures is one of the most important decisions you’ll make when you’re planning your photo shoot. But don’t worry, here are my top five locations in and around Minneapolis that are perfect for a senior photo shoot!
Arneson Acres Park – Edina, MN.
Get ready to be whisked away to a fairytale paradise at Arneson Acres Park! A beautiful fountain, hundreds of blooming flower gardens, and a quaint courtyard await you. It’s like stepping into your own enchanting storybook, where every corner is bursting with charm and beauty! So if you’re looking to have senior photos that feel like you stepped into a fairytale, then this location is for you!
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum – Chaska, MN.
Calling all nature lovers! The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is the perfect location to have your senior photos taken! With its sprawling 1,200 acres of colorful blooms and peaceful woodland trails, you’ll feel like you’re wandering through a magical wonderland. Get ready to strike a pose amidst the flowers, trees, water fountains, waterfalls, koi ponds, and a cactus green house. The possibilities are endless here, which is why it’s one of my favorite locations.
St. Anthony Main/Stone Arch Bridge – Minneapolis, MN.
Prepare to dazzle against the stunning backdrop of St. Anthony Main and the iconic Stone Arch Bridge! The cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and breathtaking river views set the stage for some seriously epic senior pics. Let’s capture your vibrant personality against the backdrop of this vibrant cityscape at the infamous “Rock Spot” or in front of the Aster Cafe! If the Stone Arch Bridge isn’t your vibe, don’t worry! There’s the historic Merriam Street bridge just down the road from the Aster Cafe. You can’t go wrong with this location for senior photos – it has so much to offer.
Boom Island Park – Minneapolis, MN.
This hidden gem is bursting with whimsy and wonder. Boom Island Park offers tons of open green space, great views of the Minneapolis skyline, and a historic bridge used primarily as a pedestrian bridge. There’s also a walking path along the river, and by the parking lot you’ll find a hill with lots of wildflowers and tall grasses. Minnehaha Falls – Minneapolis, MN.
