What Are Senior Influencers?

Have you ever heard “senior influencer” or “senior spokesmodel” used before and wondered what it meant? Well, I’m here to tell you exactly what it means!

A senior influencer or spokesmodel team is a group of upcoming seniors who represent or are the face of a photographer’s business during part of the student’s junior year and the entirety of their senior year. The students recruit their friends to book their senior photos through the photographer, and in return, they earn incentives! Senior influencer or spokesmodel programs are popular among girls, but guys are always welcome to join the fun!

Joining a senior influencer program is exciting and a great opportunity because you get to make new friends with students from other schools in the area, be part of multiple fun-styled photo shoots, receive hundreds of pictures that you’ll get to use on social media and share with your family, earn incentives for referrals, and so much more! When an influencer refers their friends to book with the photography business they’re representing, they’ll earn incentives like gift cards to their favorite clothing stores, coffee shops, restaurants, or even cash!

Typically, photographers have requirements for joining their senior influencer program. For example, the criteria to enter my senior influencer program are as follows:

  • Currently a junior at one of the many high schools in and around Minneapolis, Minnesota.
  • You enjoy getting your photo taken a lot!
  • You’re outgoing, friendly, and open to making new friends.
  • You must use Kristen Elizabeth Photography as your photographer for your senior photos and no one else!

Sounds pretty simple, right?

The Class of 2024 Senior Influencer Team for Kristen Elizabeth Photography.

I had four beautiful senior influencers who were the face of my brand for the 2023-2024 season! Kyleigh, Sophia, Abbi, and Lizzy all go to Farmington High School and have been best friends since elementary school! A few weeks before our first team photo shoot, we met at a local Starbucks, had some coffee, got to know each other, chatted about the program, discussed future team photo shoots, and went over any questions they had.

We met at Studio Jane in Downtown Lakeville for our first team photo shoot. The girls wore white tops with light-wash jeans. I loved how each girl took the outfit requirements and put their personal twist on it, which showed off their personality perfectly! After a few minutes in the studio, we got more photos outside.

In addition to group photos, we got individual shots of each girl so they could become more comfortable in front of the camera. For some, being in front of the camera can be awkward at first, but these girls were total naturals!

After the photo shoot, we went to Cherry Berry to get some frozen yogurt and hung out. I like to treat my senior influencers to something a little extra after the photo shoots as a way to say thank you for being part of the senior influencer program.

So Many Fun Photoshoots!

We had fun with other senior influencer team photo shoots throughout the year! The senior reps and I went to Arneson Acres Park in Edina, Minnesota, where the girls wore cute spring dresses and had a garden party by the fountain. We took photos on top of a parking garage in downtown Minneapolis. We also had photoshoots during the Pan-O-Prog carnival in downtown Lakeville in mid-July and in a local sunflower field at the end of August.

If you’re a junior at any of the high schools in and around the Minneapolis area and want to be part of my senior influencer team, please email me to join the waitlist for next season!
